I edited this short doc for the Atlantic, which is one of a three-part series featuring historical sites throughout Seattle owned and operated by people of color. This video highlights El Centro de la Raza, which prides itself on providing a diverse and united community, services and advocacy for people of all races. I chose to edit this video because El Centro's mission speaks to me on a personal level. The edit was pretty challenging because of licensing restrictions and limitations of the original footage that was shot. But the spirit of El Centro definitely shines through in this piece.

These are two videos from a series of promotional videos I edited for BET Experience (BET X) 2024 in Los Angeles. These edits were created entirely with archival footage from existing edits of past events and broadcasts. VO placement, music selection and GFX integration were some of the additional considerations required of me. I delivered these in various formats for both social and broadcast channels.

Sculptor Dana King’s hands and activist Fredrika Newton’s memories come together to build a new monument that honors Dr. Huey P. Newton and the Black Panther Party's vital place in American history.

I constructed the story from interviews and vérité and also cut the initial rough edits from which the final documentary was sculpted. While a good deal of the foundation I laid remains intact, several editors worked on this film.

This film was selected for the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and is currently streaming on Paramount+ as an MTV Documentary Film.

Featuring several well-known photographers, image-makers and storytellers, Strong Black Lens is about telling our own stories, through our own lens.

I always love editing music videos, especially in collaboration with director Elena Vazintaris.

In this video, country music star Jennifer Nettles lends her soaring, versatile voice to a Rodgers and Hammerstein classic on her latest release, a rendition of Oklahoma!’s “Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin’.” The song is featured on Nettles’ newest album, a 10-song, musical theatre-themed project Always Like New, released via Concord Records. 

Regina co-edited the anthem and assisted Marc Thomas on a series of Black History videos for Facebook’s Instagram.

I edited two series of three short films for Afropunk's web and social channels. Directed by Simon Benjamin and featuring JPEGMAFIA, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, SZA, and various independent punk artists, the films highlight various themes affecting black musicians and the Afro community at large, including mental health, racism and hate crimes, gender and sexual inequality and what it means to be a black punk.
